Nov09 Still Delayed
Howdy All.
We are having tremendous issues in processing the e-mailed rosters because of large variations in the formatting. Although the format coming into your company inbox is consistent, when this e-mail is forwarded to another mail box, the data is corrupted by the forwarding process (different browsers are the major culprit here, Internet Explorer 5/6/7/8, Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Blackberry, Pocketpc, Opera and others) as well as the mail server at Emirates. We’ve spent about 10 man-days on this issue so far and the end doesn’t look in sight. As long as your e-mail has not bounced back into the Ek inbox, then we have your roster – currently about 500 of them. At the rate we are going , it will probably be another 3-4 days before we complete a process that handles all the variations we are encountering in the format and get all these rosters published.
As mentioned previously, we apologise for the problems we are all experience, but they are beyond our control. We will not be charging for the November rosters.
